The 1st EN.GA.G.E. International Conference and Competition will take place in Foligno (Italy), from the 5th to the 8th of July 2018 during the 3rd edition of the Social Hackathon Umbria #SHU2018.
To whom are the Conference and Competition addressed?
The EN.GA.G.E. International Conference will be an interactive event that will propel the vision for education forward.
Being dedicated to some of the most emerging issues in education, with a special focus on digital innovation and the promotion of open and innovative practices, the International Conference is addressed to professionals working in the field of education and learning, digital enthusiasts, as well as experts and researchers from all over Europe.
In preparation to the Conference, we are launching a contest addressed to digital game designers and developers in the field of entrepreneurial education from all over the world.
Purpose and theme of the contest
The contest represents a milestone of the EN.GA.G.E. project and an opportunity for reflection on the benefits of Entrepreneurial Education at various levels of education, as well as its changing role for promoting personal development, learning and employability skills.
This joint event aims to make the European educational communities understand about the importance and benefits of entrepreneurial education, as well as promoting the establishment of an informal network of experts and stakeholders who are potentially interested in being involved in the following steps of the EN.GA.G.E. project for both the evaluation and exploitation of its results.
Experts, researchers and digital game designers from all over Europe are invited to present their digital game or tool for entrepreneurial education. The application will be evaluated by the Technical Partners of the consortium, and, if relevant for the purposes of the EN.GA.G.E. project, two representatives from each selected practice will be invited to participate the Social Hackathon Umbria 2018 by:
- setting up a stand for the presentation and demonstration of their game / tool in the Plazy Zone of # SHU2018
- supporting the hackers involved in the 48 hours marathon for the development of digital solutions to one of the three thematic challenges: B-KIDS / B-YOUTHS / B-WORK
Moreover, selected digital games and tools will be assessed towards their relevance for the EntreComp competence areas during an international learning workshop for teachers and trainers, which will take place during #SHU2018. The three most relevant practices will be awarded during the International Conference and they will play a key role in the design of the two EN.GA.G.E. digital games for entrepreneurial education that will be produced and tested in the second year of the project.
